Went to the shop - great, then went to the cafe - WARNING! At 2pm my wife and I stood at the counter waiting to order, we were ignored by two badly or untrained girls until 2.05pm and told that we could not order lunch now, only drinks and cake! We ordered coffee and had to listen to loud backbiting chat between the two girls about another person. We moved further away to drink our coffee. After finishing our drinks we walked out past the two girls, who were eating lunch at the counter, to say our goodbyes and move on to eat elsewhere. Never again! It really upset my wife.
Very wide ranging choice of vegetables, fruit, jams and chutneys, pies and pastries and drinks.I went there to buy Godstone Brewer beers which are brewed onsite. They revealed themselves to be extremely disappointing being lifeless and tasteless. The Buzz actually had a taste, but not of honey as expected, instead it resembled cough mixture. The extra injury was that they charge 3 per bottle.
What a lovely find. Staff great, good food, extensive choice of loose leaf teas and all at good price. We will certainly revisit for tea and cake. Thanks
Great quality food from the shop. But I'd hope in future the locally grown fruit and veg would drop in price when it is in season. I always spend a lot for very little.
This is our go to place for a Christmas tree, I think this is the third year we've been and always managed to find a lovely full tree (even though we left it a bit later this year!)The fruit and veg and meat is also great, perhaps a little expensive but so fresh and full of flavour that it's worth the bit extra you may pay.The staff are nice and chatty too, very welcoming.
